Carme Artigas, Founder and CEO of Synergic Partners, inaugurated the first edition of the IQS Tech Fair, a technology fair for industrial startups put on by IQS Tech Factory in Barcelona
More than 400 people attended the Technology Fair for Industrial Startups at the IQS Tech Factory in Barcelona on Wednesday. The event featured investors, movers from the entrepreneurial and business worlds, institutions from both the public and private sectors and representatives from other centers of business.
Carme Artigas, CEO at Synergic Partners, was responsible for inaugurating this first edition of the IQS Tech Fair with a conference entitled, “Reinventing the Industry in an Exponential World.” In her speech, Artigas spoke of how in both the digital and real worlds, the industry must reinvent itself and bet on the added value offered by the control of mass data, which is now available at a very low cost.
“The future of the industry belongs to whoever has the most data. More data results in a greater capacity to analyze clients and predict behavior. The management of mass data allows us to create intelligent products and services and to enrich them with great added value for the consumer.”
Artigas also explained that we are witnessing a fourth industrial revolution and shared with the attendees some of the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and disruptive technologies.
“Now is the greatest time in history to exist, technology has reached a great level of maturity. Now is the time for creators, makers and inventors who possess what machines cannot make: passion, empathy and creativity.”
After the inaugural session, the day continued with an exposition of more than twenty new companies featured from the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the IQS Tech Factory, showing the latest innovations in robotics, wearables and advanced industrial techniques, among other sectors.
